Leila Nicolas - Go Capital
After graduating with a Masters in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from the University of Bordeaux II, Leïla Nicolas completed her education with a Masters in Health Business Management (IAE Lille) and a certificate in Finance (ICN Business School Nancy).
Thanks to successive positions as a product manager in the pharmaceutical industry (Bayer Schering Pharma) and marketing manager in 2 life science start-ups (Polyplus-Transfection and Kudzu Science), Leïla has a solid background in health product marketing and strategy and also in the international development of start-ups. Leïla Nicolas joined Go Capital in 2013, where she focuses on investments in the field of Life Sciences.
She has been on VitamFero's board of directors since 19 December 2014.
Catherine Boule - Cap Décisif 2 Fund
Catherine Boule holds a diploma of advanced studies in Molecular Biology from Paris VI University as well as a Masters in "Management of technological innovation in bio-industries" from INA Paris Grignon/Reims Management School.
She began her career at Institut Curie in Paris (CNRS) and later joined a Paris-region incubator where she processed business plans for innovative biotechnology start-ups.
She joined the CapDecisif Management team in 2003. In addition to her role as an investment director in charge of the health sector, she became an associate and board member. She also serves on the boards of several companies (Axess Vision Technology, Innavirvax, Eviagenics, Gecko Biomedical, Voluntis, Physikron, Watchfrog, Eyevensys, etc.). She has been representing CapDecisif Management on VitamFero's Board of Directors since 14 March 2011.
Alexandre Levert- Pradeyrol Developpement
Alexandre Le Vert is the CEO of IMAXIO, is a board member of various Biotech companies and has been working since early 2011 with Pradeyrol Développement, who he represents on the Board of VitamFero. Alexandre is an entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in healthcare. He started his career as a research scientist at Harvard University and Institut Pasteur (2001 – 2003). He then became Marketing Manager and Sales Director at BMS France (2003-2008), before spending two years in the Paris office of the Boston Consulting Group as a consultant (2009-2011). Alexandre is a co-founder of two Asian based e-commerce companies and a Board Member of several biotech companies in France and the US. Alexandre Le Vert graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (MS) (Palaiseau, France) and Harvard University (MA, USA).
Jean-Baptiste Cuisinier- CapAgro Innovation Fund
A graduate of the École Polytechnique, ENGREF and ENSAE, he is also a general civil engineer of the Corps of Bridges, Waters and Forests. His combined public/private career has provided him with the scientific and technical base required to work on venture capital investments. After successive roles as a director of a public higher education and research institution, Ministry of Agriculture cabinet member, SME creator, director of development at the Pernod Ricard group, he was also the general manager of its food flavourings subsidiary. More recently, he was a member of AgroInvest's board for over 6 years and he co-founded CapAgro in 2014. Jean-Baptiste has been on VitamFero's board of directors since 29 May 2015.
Jean-Loup Romet-Lemonne (M.D.)
Dr. Jean-Loup Romet-Lemonne, MD. serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of BioBusiness.TV. Dr. Romet-Lemonne served as President and Chief Executive Officer IDM Pharma Inc. from 1993 to May 2007. He Co-founded IDM Pharma Inc. in 1993. Dr. Romet-Lemonne served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Immuno-Designed Molecules, S.A. since he founded company in December 1993. From September 2000 to April 2005, he served as Vice President for France-Biotech, a biotechnology association. From May 1988 to July 1991, he served as General Manager and Scientific Director of Transfusion Merieux Innovation, a biotechnology company. Prior to his position with Transfusion Merieux Innovation, he spent twelve years working in the French university hospital system as a Medical Researcher and Assistant Professor and four years at Harvard University's Department of Cancer Biology. He was Associate Professor at the Medical School of Tours University, France. Dr. Romet-Lemonne served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Epimmune Inc. since August 2005. He serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Antabio SAS. He served as Chairman of the Board of IDM Pharma, Inc. He has been a Director for Natural Implant, a biotechnology company. since April 2001. He served as Director of France Biotech. He served as Director of IDM Pharma Inc. until May 2007. He served as Director of Epimmune Inc.
He has authored more than 50 international scientific articles. He attended the Challenge+ program at HEC Management in 1992 (France), and Summer Courses in management at Stanford University Business School in 1999. Dr. Romet-Lemonne received his medical degree from the University of Tours in 1979.
François Guillemin, Valysco SAS
François Guillemin, a veterinary doctor, immunologist and a graduate of Harvard Business School, has solid experience in human and animal health in the vaccine, diagnosis and biotechnology areas. In an international environment (Europe, Brazil, USA), he has held various positions in research, development, production and business development. He was also vice-president of Synbioticscorp, CEO of Synbiotics Europe and Managing Director of the Lyonbiopôle competitiveness cluster. He also holds several directorships.
Currently, he is President and founder of Simba Santé SAS (note: Simba is a French acronym for Pooled Investment Company of Business Angels) and President of Valysco SAS. His multidisciplinary and multicultural experience is an asset to support companies in the seed and/or start-up phase within the field of health. He has been on VitamFero's Board of Directors since 14 November 2012.
